Princess is generally considered to be the very best cruise line for cruises to Alaska. I suggest Princess.

I also suggest Princess. If you do go with Princess, don’t miss the evening show called The British invasion. It was the best show thus far I have ever seen.
I would highly recommend the new Disney cruise to Alaska, Even if you do not have children, you will have an amazing trip. I was able to find lots of good tips, deals, advice and information at http://www.ShipOuts.com
You don’t get to REALLY see the Alaskan sights on a big ship. Here is my answer to another alaskan cruise query, might make you think which is more important, Evening entertainment or…..

Have a great time!
Our very first cruise to Alaska was Princess. My wife dragged me on kicking and screaming as I knew I would be bored etc. We had a great time including helicopter, floatplane, white water rafting etc.
HOWEVER there is better way! When you come back think about going on a small ship next time.
The small ships (+/-100 guests) don’t visit the tourist trap big towns (with the 3+ other cruise liners also in for the day….6-10,000 passengers swamp the town/amenities!) and you spend most of your time out in the Zodiacs watching nature.
This time we went:-
Dog sledging on a glacier at Anchorage.
Drifting in the Zodiacs with a pod of about 20 Humpback whales all around us for about 2 hours watching them bubble feeding (truly incredible) which you only expect to see on the TV.
Drifting with sea otters (very rare).
Standing in a remote gravel stream with the spawning salmon going through our feet.
Sitting in Zodiac 100yds from glacier, and being rewarded with about 10,000 ton calving – and a mini tsunami!
Drifting 100yds from a pod of Orca whales.
Visiting Hicksville towns for real experiences (including the Hammer Museum…..)
Being one side of small stream with Bears catching the salmon on the other side!
etc. etc.
OK small ships are more expensive, but hey, once you have forgotten the cost you still have the memories…………… and the photos of a humpback breaching 40ft away from your inflatable and all the other once in a lifetime photos!

Princess is supposedly better for the actual Alaskan cruise, but Royal Caribbean was voted best entertainment in the complete cruise guide.
