a few that i know are:
SM entertainment
JYP entertainment
Mnet entertainment

and a few others. umm i know jyp entertainment is doing a global audition and it tells u the where in the link i gave you and im not sure about SM or others. i myself plan on going to the auditions in seattle. but you should do some research on the entertainments because i hear problems with some like SM not being fair with money and stuff like that or there was a singing group where they didnt renew ever members contract which is stupid. but anyways yeah. and usually the korean entertainments are foreign friendly cos most say all race welcome so yeah but yeah. hopefully i help in some way. oh btw knowing korean doesnt really matter i mean its good but they want talent like dancing singing and stuff like that. cos when you become a trainee and you dont speak korean they put you in korean lang. school.

    Well the top three entertainments are SM, JYP, & YG. But there’s also DSP, Mnet, J Tune, etc. and many more.

    Being fluent in Korean & somewhat of Japanese is a plus-plus.

    But it’ll also depend on your friend’s age.

    For most of Korea’s entertainment industries they tend to look for people who are around the ages 15 – 18 when auditioning.

    As I heard for SM, JYP, & YG.

    SM = 80% looks & 20% talent
    JYP = 50% looks & 50% talent
    YG = 100% talent

    SM tends to look for people who are good looking as they are known as the “fresh face” entertainment. Looks tends to come before talent. They also seem to be debuting artists that are younger these days. So age will probably be a huge factor when choosing their trainees.

    JYP tends to look for strong dancers & singers. If you are a strong dancer I think that age wouldn’t matter because they really seem to value strong dancers & sometimes strong singers too.

    YG tends to look for strong singers. Talent (like singing or rapping) comes before looks. Also if you have talent then age wouldn’t really matter. Like I wrote talent comes before everything else.

    And no worries about not being Asian or whatever. They say that all race are welcome to audition. And most entertainment are foreigner friendly.

    But I will say that for SM (if your friend is thinking about auditioning for SM). Wait a little before auditioning because there is a lawsuit going on with DBSK (one of their artist/band) & see what the results are. Because as I heard SM contracts seem to be “slaved contracts” & they take most of the money that the artists earn & give the artists only a little of what they earned back. And they barely get any rest & are treated unfairly.
